![]() ![]() About Noel CouttsA sailor, singer, songwriter, actor and poet, Noel Coutts comes from a Shetland Island seafaring heritage. He's been a big part of the Wakatipu music scene for the last 14 years with his group Custer's Last Band. He has six albums to his name and around Queenstown they refer to him as a blues legend. In 2005 Noel packed up his belongings and began his seafearing, musical adventure.
These days Noel's based on his boat. He travels and performs a great solo act in a variety of locations. You might be lucky enough to catch him in Queenstown, Wellington, Christchurch, the Marlborough Sounds, Bluff, Invercargill or even on Stewart Island. Living on a ship allows Noel to indulge himself and live his dream of being a travelling minstrel. In recent times he's lived and played in Wellington, the Marlborough Sounds, Christchurch, Stewart Island, Bluff and of course back home in Queenstown.
